ASSISTANT

Our family business is looking to grow our team. We open and close pools, install new liners and safety covers, do renovations and build new pools. The assistant position entails working directly under the owner. Initial training will be provided by the owner who has 25 years experience in the pool industry and is an active member of the APSP (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals). The assistant is responsible for helping complete every job correctly and will occasionally be expected to work alone on smaller jobs under specific direction. During initial training (2-3 months), the assistant will be responsible for the following: maintaining hand tools on a daily basis, keeping trucks clean and organized, prepping supplies needed for the day, filling out paperwork, and on occasion collecting payments from customer. After initial training, you will move into technical training and will learn in depth the ins and outs of the industry. We want candidates who are willing to grow with us. Promotions are available once performance reflects. 

Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Punctual 
  • Ingenuity skills
  • Listening and communication skills
  • Customer service 
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Work with a sense of urgency and efficiency 
  • Experience with power tools (i.e. demo saw, jack hammer, core drill)
  • (Experience with excavators and skid steers a plus but not required)
  • Construction background preferred 
  • Must be able to work outside
  • Must be able to drive full sized van
